I am happy in my solitude

I am happy in my solitude.

I don’t need another heart to dispense my bliss,

As I feel it in the virid leaf

Receiving, from summer’s first rain, its kiss.

.

I am happy in my solitude.

Looking at those fuschia flowers,

Joining me on my breakfast table,

Recounting the days when they were just another bud,

Blooming in their mother’s arms…

Oh! those are just fables.

.

I am happy in my solitude.

Because my heart writes a love poem,

Weaving every one of its beat

And, my breath as a prelude.
